Free psychological therapies and non-clinical peer support for people in South Western Sydney
You In Mind (YIM) provides free psychological therapies and non-clinical peer support for people with, or at risk of, a diagnosed mental illness and are part of an eligible population group within South Western Sydney.
Psychological therapies are delivered by mental health professionals and are matched to your individual mental health needs.
Following referral and initial assessment, you may also be linked in with a peer worker to receive peer support.
Eligible population groups for You In Mind support
You in Mind is for people who live in South Western Sydney with a mild to severe mental health issue who are over the age of 12 years experiencing barriers to accessing support through the Medicare Better Access initiative, and identify as:
- Does not speak English at home
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Aged 65+ years
- LGBTQIA+
- Resident of Wollondilly or Wingecarribee experiencing geographic isolation and social disconnection
- Experiencing financial hardship (you have a Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or similar)
- Experiencing homelessness
- Experiencing perinatal or postnatal mental health difficulties

Make an appointment with your GP to discuss a referral, or contact Head to Health on 1800 595 212.
Please note a Mental Health Treatment Plan is required to access You in Mind.
