Through One Door, people living with mental illness and their families can find an inclusive community, innovative services and advocacy support.

One Door Mental Health, formerly the Schizophrenia Fellowship of NSW, is committed to creating a world where people with mental illness are valued and treated as equals. For over 35 years, we’ve designed and delivered expert mental health programs, now accessible through the NDIS.Over half of our team have lived experience giving us unmatched expertise in mental health. Our community creates a safe place that connects people. The services we offer are supported by many years of experience making us the NDIS mental health experts.

One Door is a proud member of the Mind Australia Group, one of Australia’s largest community-managed mental health and wellbeing service specialists. The group includes Mind Australia, One Door Mental Health, and The Haven Foundation and strengthens our ability to offer a full continuum of services, from early intervention to complex care, with a shared vision of supporting people to live the life of their choosing.

Collectively, Mind Australia and One Door share more than 80 years of evidence-based service delivery, supported housing, research, and advocacy, with lived experience at the forefront of all their practice, thinking, and workforce design.

Our Mission

A world in which people with mental illness are valued and treated as equals.

Our ASPIRE Values

Our values, together with our purpose, are at the very core of One Door Mental Health's culture, influencing our behaviours and processes.

The Journey to One Door

Sometimes the most life-changing things happen when dedicated people gather around a kitchen table. That’s exactly what happened on 15 October 1985 when our founders discussed creating an organisation to help people with schizophrenia and their carers.
