  • Individuals who have visited a GP or eligible referrer after a recent suicide attempt.
  • People experiencing strong suicidal ideation

A Mental Health Treatment Plan is not required to access this service.

How to access the Clinical Suicide Prevention Service?

Clients are eligible to receive up to 10 hours of psychological therapy for up to two months as clinically required. Referrals to the program require the SWSPHN Clinical Suicide Prevention Service risk assessment and can be made through One Door administration officers, via GPs, Emergency Departments, Local Health District Mental Health Teams, including the Community Mental Health Emergency Team (CoMHET), or other PHN-approved referrers. Clients can also be stepped up from You in Mind as part of the SWSPHN stepped care model approach.
